Job Description • The ITIL Governance Lead will ensure the appropriate and robust governance policies, processes, and controls are developed, kept up to date, and adhered to, specific to API lifecycle and Management. • Support alignment between divisional and global strategies, regulations, and standards through strong collaboration and partnership with the technology and business teams. • Lead the definition of policies, processes, strategies, standards, and guidelines using best practice frameworks, while reviewing current approaches and suggesting improvements. • Lead and manage governance board policies and practices for API change management and non-functional requests. • Develop, maintain, and present Enterprise level APIM strategy roadmaps. • This position requires strong leadership, firm decision-making, and organizational skills. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. • 8-10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and API Development • Certified in ITIL, ITSM • Senior-level system administration experience, including troubleshooting, support, mentorship/training, and oversight • Ability to manage goals, track milestones and report on the status • Strong base for software architecture and API development Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. EXPERIENCE • Enterprise IT Governance including knowledge of IT risk management and controls. • Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable tackling complex problems and breaking these down into manageable pieces. • Superior communication, facilitation, and consensus-building skills. • Conceptual and practical thinking and implementation skills. • Process design and analysis skills. • Research, analysis, and judgment skills. • Lead and manage the establishment of a strategic, operational, and technical decision-making governance process aligned with the business priorities and risk appetite. • Develop an API Governance strategy and support the department’s overall strategy development and maintenance. • Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the organization. • Develop and implement processes to assess and/or monitor the effectiveness of procedures to ensure adherence to standards and policies through the definition of metrics/KPIs • Responsible for procedure governance and oversight. • Execute and mature the Governance program in line with heightened standards and mandates supporting a secure tool supply chain. • Conduct gap analysis on new and emerging guidance and lead the organization in adoption. • Work collaboratively with other corporate oversight functions to identify and implement consistent and effective approaches to risk governance and control-based activities. • Support the development of the Enterprise Architecture standards, policies, and guidelines • Recommend and use an Enterprise Architecture tool to implement within the organization, so the models, diagrams, and other key information is captured, consistent, shared, and kept updated by all teams. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE • Knowledge of containerization, specifically Kubernetes and OpenShift • AWS or Azure certification • Kong Enterprise tools, specifically Kong Gateway • Experience using Jira and/or Gitlab • Networking concepts, including firewalls, VPN, routing, load balancers, security, and DNS • Enterprise IT environment with distributed environments At Siemens, we are always challenging ourselves to build a better future.
