Then come and join our global team as Professional Government Affairs and Policy EU to strengthen and support the EU and Africa Government Affairs and Policy Team based in Brussels Your tasks and responsibilities: Identify and monitor relevant legislation, policy initiatives, and funding opportunities and assess their implications for Siemens Healthineers´ businesses. Contribute to briefings and presentations for internal and external meetings of upper management and board members. Represent Siemens Healthineers actively and impactful in association working group and meetings. Contribute to regular policy briefings / newsletters for the management and expert functions (e.g., Sustainability department, EHS department). Participate in strategic representation activities and liaise with external stakeholders. Organize and attend events, panel discussions or information sessions on behalf of Siemens Healthineers. Build up and sustain a network of stakeholders in relevant political institutions and the related stakeholder environment. While you will be able to work on rather broad variety of topics, there will be a focus on environmental and sustainability topics, e.g. Green Deal, Chemical Strategy, Climate Action, Circular Economy Action Plan and Supply Chain Due Diligence. Your qualifications and experience: You have an excellent university degree in political sciences, law and/or in a related field of expertise. You have at least 5 years of experience in Government Affairs or equivalent environment (e.g., in political institutions, in industry associations or in a Government Affairs unit of a company, in a public affairs consultancy or a similar role) ideally related to policy issues that are relevant for Siemens’s businesses. Following attributes describe you: good understanding of EU and ideally German regulations and politics, passion for politics, excellent written and oral communication skills, keen interest in technologies, familiar with major Siemens relevant businesses. The chosen candidate is a natural team player, has strong advocacy skills and navigates complex organizational environments with ease. Fluent English skills and good German skills highly desirable, any other EU language is a plus.
