Job Description

Would you like to join a dynamic, high performing, ambitious team, and contribute to the LEGO Group´s government and public affairs work in China.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive stakeholders mapping and nurture a strong stakeholders network in Shanghai by optimizing the value of one LEGO Brand and synergies among the LEGO family.
  • Support TLG business momentum, LE/LEAS market expansion and market access in China
  • Support GPA team leader in delivering successful activity plan and critical GPA agenda, such as CIIE, Toy Fair, etc in collaboration with other internal functions such as marketing, CSR, Corp Comm, legal, tax, operation, etc.
  • Contribute to Corporate Affairs responsibility programs to strengthen LEGO Group reputation as a responsible MNC in China
  • Responsible for internal GPA reporting system

The Government and Public Affairs team supports the LEGO group’s mission of reaching millions of children globally by enabling our company’s reputational and legal license to operate.
The team also supports commercial performance through effective risk and issues management in the countries we operate in. In addition, the team advocates for international eco-systems that enable children to learn through play.

The GPA China team focuses on China specific related business priorities and delivers impact through driving market specific government and public affairs plans to enable operating stability, market access and to identify new opportunities for the commercial team, as well as mitigate potential risk to better protect company’s business and reputation.

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for the LEGO brand and a strong drive to engage with external and internal stakeholders to help the LEGO group achieve its strategic objectives in China. You will be a self-starter, with a passion for delivering results and an ability to connect the dots and think strategically. You have high integrity and will always do what’s right for the LEGO group and our primary stakeholders- children. You have a great network, enjoy partnering with government and related stakeholders and are a strong communicator.

Do you have what it takes?

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in public policy, government affairs, political science, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 6-8 years in driving government and public affairs programs with global organizations or government institutions. Preference for prior experience in consumer goods industry in China.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English.
  • Collaborative and good team player
  • Capability to adapt to changes and fast moving environment
  • You have a good network, and enjoy partnering with government and related stakeholders and are a strong communicator.
  • Self motivated and results oriented
  • Passion for the brand
  • Advanced - Level 13-16 (C1, C2)
