The co-op will work as part of the Corporate Affairs Group. The responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Edit and develop digital content regarding corporate initiatives
- Report on results and outcomes of media and digital campaigns
- Liaise with grass roots community organizations to enhance relationship and seek out opportunities for online and media profile based on company involvement
- Develop digital disease awareness content
- Oversee events and media campaigns designed to enhance company profile and reputation with key stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of Postgraduate Certification Program by August 2021 from an accredited Canadian institution
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications
Degree concentration(s) in Public Relations
Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite software including Outlook
Strong capabilities with social media platforms
Strong team player and able to build productive internal/external relationships
Flexible and adaptable and willing to participate in a variety of projects
Self-motivator to achieve results with attention to detail
Excel at written and oral communication
