Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. During this program, you will contribute to modernizing programming capabilities for Amgen’s Global Statistical Programming (GSP) organization. GSP is undertaking a Digitization effort to transform manual, inefficient processes to improve our ability to deliver on GSP study commitments with speed and quality. Intern will support the Digitization program through the application of R, Python, SQL and potentially other programming technologies.
- Analyze processes, tools, and technologies that are responsible for inefficient processes
- Partner with domain experts, business process owners, and senior software engineers to develop new tools, programs, or database designs to deliver efficiency
- Hands on programming to implement solutions
- Communicate solution and its impact to business processes across GSP

Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
- 18 years or older
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR PhD for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR PhD program before internship starts
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
- Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree concentration(s) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent.
- Candidate should have experience programming in R, SAS, SQL, and/or Python.
- Candidate should also have experience in the design and use of SQL databases, SDLC practices, program automation, and scripting
