About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Grade 9 Chemistry Teacher to join an international/bilingual school in Shenzhen. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, concept-driven science instruction and support students in building a strong foundation for upper secondary chemistry.

Key Responsibilities
Teach Grade 9 Chemistry following an international curriculum (IGCSE or equivalent)
Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based science lessons
Conduct assessments and provide timely academic feedback
Support students in developing scientific thinking and lab skills
Collaborate with the science department on curriculum planning and activities
Participate in school events, meetings, and pastoral duties as required
Requirements
Native English speaker
Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Science Education, or related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience in Chemistry or General Science
Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE / QTS / TEFL / equivalent) preferred
Experience with international curricula (IGCSE / IB / A-Level) preferred
Candidates already based in China are strongly preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
