Government relations has never been more important to Intel's success and Global Government Affairs (GGA) is a pivotal group within Intel's Growth Acceleration Team (GAT) focused on a range of urgent policy issues like domestic manufacturing incentives, trade with China, IP protection, and other business-critical priorities.
We are looking for a creative and collaborative candidate to support our International Government Affairs (IGA) Team on a range of operational projects and policy issues. Working with the entire IGA team, you will support Intel's long-term business objectives. You will also help define and develop a best practices toolkit to assist IGA in supporting GGA's objectives by providing proven approaches, platforms, and programs that can help drive outcomes.
The position will be a full-time, paid position running through the summer of 2022, with the possibility of continuing to work part-time after the summer is done. This role is intentionally broad and will require a candidate who can work in a dynamic environment. During the Internship you will get real-world experience with ownership of projects from day one, as well as the opportunity to develop a network inside and outside of Intel.

General computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to be organized, adapt to a changing environment, work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at all corporate and political levels
Self-starter who can take general direction and produce specific results
Ability to identify and understand key technical aspects about corporate operations in legislative and regulatory proposals, understand business implications, and synthesize policy documents for internal and external customer
Ability to influence, negotiate with, and persuade others, with the ability to intelligently build a course of action, analyze trade-offs, and make recommendations even in ambiguous situations
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/ classes/ research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Graduate Public Policy, Law degree or relevant Master's degree program
Must have completed at least 1 year of graduate coursework by May 2022
Must be available for a period of 3 months, beginning approximately May 31 to August 30, 2022 (exact dates flexible)
3+ months of work, internship, or other leadership experience in a professional environment, with an emphasis and demonstrated interest in international government affairs and public policy work
Preferred Qualifications:
A keen understanding of international policy process as well as the technology industry
Experience creating and effectively delivering factual, relevant, and easily understandable talking points and other messaging

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
