Job Description

SLoCaT Partnership is looking for a Shanghai-based graphic designer who will design a new organizational brochure among other promotional materials. Following the initial assignment, there will be the possibility for the designer to work on more projects with the SLoCaT Partnership

Initially, the assignment calls for 15-20 hours of work in the period July 15th – September 15th, 2014. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and prior documented rates.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of Talya Enriquez Romano and working with the entire SLoCaT Teamteam, the designer will help SLoCaT Partnership create a new organizational brochure and other promotional materials. The initial assignment with SLoCaT Partnership will focus on the following areas with potential for expansion into other areas depending on the needs of the organization:
• Create concept, design and visuals for a SLoCaT Brochure
• Design, layout and produce various publications and artwork for divisional projects such as flyers, brochure, posters, logos, banners and illustrations.
• Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, icons and other artwork

Requirements
• At least 2-3 year experience in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Marketing Communications
• Based in Shanghai, available to work in July-August in Shanghai
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks), Indesign and other graphic design software
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Capacity to multi-task and detail orientation
• Creative thinker, with a strong interest in new design, visual trends
