• ROLE SUMMARY:

  The SOM Shanghai marketing team requires a Graphic Designer to produce graphic content using multiple mediums which include digital and print collateral, and presentation material.

  Candidates must have experience in working for a design firm and show a portfolio of work that’s elegant and highly creative. The successful candidate will have exceptional visual communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to deliver on a creative brief. You’ll contribute on multiple projects as part of a team and independently.

  RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Design marketing collateral, presentations and digital material
  • The ability to collaborate with design teams from business development presentations through strategy, design and delivery
  • Lead your own design briefs with guidance from the Marketing Manager
  • Able to multitask, working on several projects at once, sometimes under pressure and often with tight deadlines
  • Keeping up to date with popular culture and trends
  • Excellent verbal communication skills

• QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or similar
• 3 years of graphic design experience
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with digital media, video, exhibits, environmental graphics or signage desirable
• The ability to read and interpret architectural plans, sections, elevations and details desirable
• Working knowledge of 3D programs (SketchUp, V-Ray, Rhino) or basic post-production video editing software desirable
• Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin
• Working knowledge of print and production, vendor management
• Exceptional typography skills
• Proven ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team
