Job Description

AXG is looking for a passionate Graphics Hardware Engineer with background in frontend and backend development or pre-silicon verification. This position provides a unique opportunity to mix and grow with multiple responsibilities in micro-architecture development, RTL coding and validation, or pre-silicon verification. The candidate will be part of Graphics core IP team chartered with developing and delivering multiple generations of state of the art, highly configurable GPU Core IP to multiple clients, discrete graphics, and server SOCs. This is a hand on, highly technical individual contributor role.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Feature evaluations for power, performance, area, complexity, and effort tradeoffs

  • Develop of IP collateral such as microarchitecture spec, design spec/RTL code, validation environment/checkers/trackers, test plans, white box coverage, or assertions

  • Drive initiatives to improve design or validation quality, efficiency, and velocity of the teams

  • Interact and work closely with architecture, design, simulation, SW/driver, and verification teams for development of highly efficient, feature rich, and high-quality IP

 

The role requires the following attributes: 

  • Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Prior experience working in a dynamic environment, understanding abstract concepts and able to multi-task


Qualifications

This position requires meeting the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a major plus

Minimum Skills and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a directly related field with 9+ years of experience in one, or more, of the areas listed below: 

  • Design implementation, performance, testing, and verification strategies

  • Hands-on coding skills using Verilog or System Verilog

  • Background in design/validation automation with Perl or Python

  • Pre-silicon verification

  • Tools (such as Modelsim, Synopsys Design-Compiler, Primetime) and frontend design automation flow


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in one of the areas noted and 8+ years of industry experience in one, or more, of the following areas outlined above

  • GPU Architecture or X86 Architecture and Graphics API

  • GPU Datapath design including ALU arithmetic. Blocks

  • Multi core - multi thread design implementation

  • Supporting emulator and post-silicon bring up/debug

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$148,930.00-$238,410.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
