The Xe Arch and IP Engineering team is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, Media, Compute, and Display) hardware intellectual property (IP) blocks for integrated and custom chips and System-on-a-Chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We work closely with partners across Intel and do not let any organizational boundary get in the way of solving problems. We are looking for a Pre-Silicon Validation Student Worker to join our team.
Some of your roles and responsibilities in this role will be:
- Building and developing validation test plans and test scenarios to prove the correctness of the design
- Development of validation components for a simulation based environment, bus functional models, trackers, checkers, scoreboards and testbenches
- Building and delivery of an RTL model of the design
- Performing and debugging simulations
- Development of functional coverage and achieving coverage goals
- Identifying and driving to closure of bugs
- Developing methodologies and capabilities, and driving process improvements
- Working closely with design engineers, micro-architects, and other team members to ensure high quality of test plans, functional coverage and tests
- Ability to deliver high-quality output against deadlines and able to work effectively in a cross-site team environment
You will receive training and guidance from senior engineers to perform the following roles and responsibilities
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must be pursuing a Master's/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Availability to work at least 32 hours per week
- Advanced English level
- Willing to remain as an active student for at least 1 year
6+ months of educational or work experience in the following areas:
- Logic design, architecture, and logic verification Verilog, System Verilog UNIX and Windows
- Programming / scripting languages like C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python
Preferred Requirements:
- Pre-Si validation, verification methodologies (OVM/UVM)
- Skills pertaining to logic design and validation, including expertise in VCS simulator,
- Functional coverage concepts and implementation
- Testbench development, bus functional models, trackers, checkers, test development, execution and debug

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
