Assists in providing technical support for one or more products and/or product families through participating in new product development, representing the customers technical needs, creating competitive analysis from a technical perspective, and/or developing and presenting technical product training materials. Typically works with the Intel sales team to help resolve customers technical questions, participates in customers visits, and/or delivers presentations. May own creation and maintenance of data sheets and application notes, and/or act as a technical expert, consultant, analyst, and/or program manager. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

We are the support engineering organization responsible for Intel's graphics drivers, and we are looking to fill our Graphics Technical Support Engineer position with an experienced engineer who is passionate about providing expert technical support and solving challenging problems.
Responsibilities of the Graphics Technical Support Engineer position include, but are not limited to:
Being the escalation point for 3D game performance and/or functional issues escalated from Intel's client platform customer base.
Reproducing issues on a variety of Intel platforms, and bounding problems to the platform hardware (GPU/CPU), platform software (graphics driver stack), or software applications.
Collaborating with Intel's engineering teams to debug and root-cause performance and/or functional issues
Communicating closely with third-party customers on issue reproduction, debug steps and issue status
Filing internal bug reports with detailed reproduction steps, and tracking submitted bugs to closure
Working closely with internal support engineering personnel to continuously improve issue triage and debug skills over time

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field
4+ years of experience in a related position, such as software development, software validation, platform debug, including: troubleshooting performance and functional issues,
debugging issues and/or analyzing debug logs - all on x86/Windows platforms
Advanced English Level
Preferred
Knowledge of the 3D/DirectX graphics pipeline
Performance profiling and optimization on GPUs/CPUs
Graphics programming experience, preferably in DirectX 12 or Vulkan
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows architecture and how it can impact performance
