Open Your Mind English School is an English training and education center for students of all ages. Open Your Mind focuses on individuals, helping them to grow and open their minds to the English language and culture. Not only learning the language, but also about western customs is important to us, as any language is always a reflection of its culture.
Our school is located in Kunming's Guandu district, close to the metro, Carrefour and Starbucks. Most of our students are aged form 3 to 13 and class sizes are kept quite small. We provide all the teaching materials one could need, just bring yourself and a smile. When first teaching with our school, we will offer training and help throughout your journey of finding yourself as teacher. Each of our classes is given a Chinese teaching assistant to help the foreign teacher if needed. So you will never be in a classroom by yourself.
Teaching system: Open Your Mind English School has developed its own course system, consisting of teaching books, flashcards, training books, DVDs as well as a carefully crafted lesson plan for every class. In every lesson, students are encouraged to actively use their newly learned abilities through a series of interesting and funny activities, following the Total-Body- Response(TPR)method.
The TPR method connects linguistics with motor control functions, creating a secondary impression of every word, which raises the efficiency of the student’s memory. All our teachers are therefore encouraged to give highly active classes with different activities and to adapt lesson plans to their students needs and abilities.
Thoroughly training each teacher is important to the Open Your Mind concept of quality and trust. Every teacher is trained for at least 2 weeks before giving classes without an instructor present. Regular evaluations and trainings are conducted every month to ensure quality.
Our School is looking for two full time teachers to join our team of teachers! We are looking for a native English speaker, who is enthusiastic and enjoys teaching and heeling children grow.
Our School offers teachers the following package
