Teaching Assignment
-ESL instruction
-up to 20 class sessions per week (each is roughly 45 minutes in duration)
-lesson planning
-test preparation (adaptation of standard tests to reflect actual teaching)
-up to 3 hours per week for meetings and other administrative duties (such as grading and reporting on attendance etc.)
Compensation
8000 RMB per month
100 RMB for each class session in excess of the required class sessions on a weekly basis
Airfare
-price of a round trip economy class ticket purchased by the teacher will be paid at the end of the contract period
Health Care
-out of pocket expenses for medical treatment to a maximum of 1500RMB for the term of the contract
Vacations
-Teacher will be paid in each month of the contract and will be entitle to take all standard vacations scheduled by the school.
Contract and Medical Check
-Teacher will be required to sign a standard government contract that is required for the purpose of gaining a “work” permit (called an Foreign Experts Certificate “FEC”)
-Teacher will be required to undertake a medical examination as per the regulations of the Chinese government
Chinese FEC and Residence Visa
-All costs will be reimbursed upon school’s receipt of government issued invoices
Conditional Offer
The offer is conditional upon the ability of the school to obtain the necessary government permits for work and residency in China.
Accommodation will be provided by the school on or nearby the campus. I believe it will be an apartment with at least one bedroom, washroom (with shower), kitchen, sitting room and a enclosed balcony. Fridge, hotplate, hot water, washing machine and furniture (as well as TV and internet) are all provided.
