We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Developer for Grid Simulation Software to join our Smart Infrastructure team. Based in our Bayswater, VIC office, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an area of the Siemens business that has enormous market potential. Reporting to the Country Business Unit Lead, the Business Developer will be required to visit internal and external customers to develop business opportunities for the Grid Software unit in Australia and New Zealand. Once these opportunities have been identified you will then be required to write solution specifications and develop operation philosophies to enforce Siemens position in selling process - understanding and clarifying customer requirements, driving those expectations into Siemens technical concepts and expertise, and prepare offers, including cost calculations, and define delivery concepts of our solutions. In order to be considered for this opportunity you will have the following: - Experience using PSS E, PSS SINCAL, and other simulation tools. - Solid knowledge of transmission, distribution and generation systems and its application, including the planning criteria, specifications, and design requirements. - A demonstrable track record in Business Development within the Grid Simulation Software space. - Be able to detect local market requirements and leverage technical solutions in contact with other Business Units, Business Segments and Headquarters. - The ability to analyses strategic trends, ensuring that you are the customers subject matter expert. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and engaged individual who has a specialization in software sales, with the ability to lead RFQ’s, offer preparations - including cost calculation and T&Cs negotiation. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to promote Grid Software for Grid Simulation, with a focus on the PSS software family, for private and government customers, leverage technical solutions for new grids in high and low voltage, including also new market trends like MicroGrids, Remote Monitoring, and Remote Maintenance, understand and clarify customer requirements regarding Software and Electrical Studies, driving those expectations into Siemens technical concepts and expertise.
