Group Director Finance – Corporate Office

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Wharf Hotels is the hotel management company for Niccolo and Marco Polo Hotels.  The expanding hotel group is seeking a Group Director Finance with a solid financial and accounting experience at the corporate office in Hong Kong.  Assisting the Vice President Finance & Business Development in providing financial planning, reporting and monitoring and control over hotels as well as the corporate office. To support the operations of Wharf Hotels in various regions with respect to financial matters, tax and legal compliance, policies and procedures and reporting standards.

Your Skills:

• Thorough understanding of Hotel operations and sound business acumen
• Knowledge of China Tax System
• Experience in closely working with stakeholders including owning company, corporate and regional office and hotels directors of finance
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to address all levels within the organization and ability to gain consensus.
• Demonstrated ability to scope a project and develop a plan of action, ability to influence others, present convincing arguments and deal with conflicting viewpoints.
• Strong interpersonal skills and procession of a full understanding of professional business ethics, decorum and social skills
• Optimize the financial resources of the organization and drive the momentum for continuous improvements of the financial systems, procedures and control
• Strong leadership skill with excellent team spirit
• Highly analytical and possess strong sense in use of systems and technology
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Ability to travel for business and hotel audit as required

You are:

• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in the Hotel Director of Finance position. Prior Corporate office experience or regional role is preferred
• Mature and pleasant personality, persistent and committed with ability to strive for the best
• Strategic and agile, able to convey key points and recommendations effectively and efficiently
• Passionate about challenges and enthusiastic
