The opportunity:

As a Group Pricing Specialist, you’ll support technical pricing of Corporate Solutions group schemes as well as support to the Product and Pricing team with retail quoting, data requests or investigations, and testing of system changes. Reporting to the Pricing Manager, you’ll join a talented team that are driven to make a difference and where learning opportunities are plentiful.

About the role:

  • Gather and prepare quotations/installations for the acquisitions of Corporate Solutions business

  • Collate and prepare rate reviews, including data gathering and analysis for existing Corporate Solutions schemes

  • Liaise with our administration team, brokers, reinsurers, legal and BDM’s with regard to plan changes, rate reviews, installations and any other aspects required of the role relating to new and existing business pricing

  • Maintain an excellent working relationship with key internal stakeholders, such as the Corporate Solutions administration team and the Partnership Insurance (Distribution) team

  • Support Retail with technical Retail Pricing calculations where required

  • Statistical reporting: analyse extracted data and produce required reports and provide information to enable other areas to make business decisions.  

  • Software/System Testing where support is needed

About you:

  • Have an in-depth understanding of product, policy, administration, and distribution

  • You will have a background in life insurance

  • Have pricing, group administration and/or underwriting experience

  • A background in group and/or retail pricing is advantageous

  • Able to demonstrate strong relationship management skills

  • Exceptional spreadsheet skills with the ability to think critically

  • Self-motivated with able to work independently and ensure timeframes are well

  • Effective and proven negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate to find solutions that meet business needs
