Group Reporting Accountant

SDL Finance in the UK is expanding! We’re looking for a Group Reporting Accountant to join our growing finance team in Maidenhead.

We’re growing our Group Finance team as we expand our group reporting process, develop our internal control environment and ensure our stakeholders get the best value possible from our Finance function. The Group Finance team operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, functioning as a proactive business partner and assisting business leaders with their reporting and compliance responsibilities. 
The position will form part of a team who are responsible for both internal and external reporting, reviewing the internal control environments in the Group’s subsidiaries and assisting with a number of projects underway in Group Finance to improve the efficiency of the finance function.

Your key responsibilities
As the Group Reporting Accountant you will be responsible for the accurate reporting of Group balances as well as completing ‘value adding’ analysis on the balances presented.

Duties
* Assist with managing the consolidation and month end processes
* Assisting with the preparation of the Group’s monthly management accounts
* Assisting with the calculation and posting for the Group level consolidation entries
* Limited travel to different offices globally to ensure implementation of Group controls (c. 1 week per quarter)
* Reviewing key areas of the profit and loss and balance sheet
* Reviewing internal control environments and business processes
* Liaising with the Group’s internal and external auditors
* Assist with the production of group financial statements
* Ad-hoc items as requested
 
Experience/Key attributes
* Qualified Accountant
* Previous experience in internal or external audit experience preferred
* Experience with international businesses or Groups preferred
* Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
* Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
* Ability to create and develop reports for key management including the Board
* Excel experience including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables
* Experience with Hyperion and HFM beneficial
