Group Rooms Coordinator

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Reservations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Request, administer, and create Passkey group websites
• Assist with entering group reservation rooming Lists
• Place group restrictions in CRS and assist in group yield post contract turnovers
• Review cutoff dates and group pick up on a daily basis
• Coordinate all contracted concessions and room blocks for contract accuracy
• Provide Sales/Catering team with estimates and find room attrition
• Monitor guestroom inventory for property to ensure necessary balancing of group block grids
• Blocking guestrooms for group and VIP reservations based on specific guest requirements
• Prepare notation of reservation pick up and special requests in Group Resumes
• Provide administrative support to Reservations Yield Manager and action items as required in an efficient and professional manner
• Respond to all reservation requests, modifications, and incoming calls (both internally and externally) in a courteous, efficient, professional and friendly manner in adherence to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards
• Maintain good working relationships with Global Reservations Centre, Travel Agents and external /internal Guests
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Previous customer related experience required
• Previous Property Manager System experience preferred
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
• Must be able to type 25 words per minute
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
• Frequent sitting throughout shift
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking and standing
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
