GROUP STRATEGY MANAGER:

This role is responsible for assisting Director of Sales in overall functions of group, contract business (consortia/wholesale/BT) management and business evaluation. This role is expected to execute short and long term strategies to maximize group/catering and contract revenue opportunities and deliver financial profitability for the hotel.

Summary of Core Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers.
  • Evaluates group, catering and contract (consortia/wholesale/BT) business opportunities with guidance provided by DOS.
  • Works with sales & revenue leaders to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for group, consortia, wholesales and BT market segments.
  • Works with Director of Sales and Director of Revenue Management in development, monitoring and changing of sales pricing (MAR’s).
  • Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.
  • Reviews & recommends Function Space Management tactics, reviewing and approving space release.
  • Assists in achievement of group sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required.
  • Preparation and recommendation of booking goals for sales & catering team members.
  • Utilizes determined tools to establish target accounts for sales team both locally & nationally.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Sales.

Your experience and skills should include:

  • Previous experience as a Revenue Manager, Sales Manager, ADOS or DOS at a smaller hotel/resort with successful track record required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required. Strong Excel skills required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and result oriented skills
