The hotel features a variety of Food & Beverage outlets, two fitness centres, Day Spa and 15 fully flexible event spaces for up to 1100 delegates.

We are currently seeking a Groups Manager (Full time) to join our Reservations HUB at Sofitel Brisbane Central.  Be the first point of contact for the Hotel’s telephone enquiries and ensure an exceptional level of luxury experience for our guests at all times.  Create the Magnifique Moments that last! 

Key responsibilities of this role include:

•  Assist the reservations Manager in leading the Reservations HUB team to ensure yield strategies are implemented and targets are met

•  Maximise all sales opportunities through a strong knowledge of the hotel and facilities

•  Manage all facets of group accommodation bookings, maximising occupancy, rate and customer service experience

•  Handling guest enquiries and complaints in a courteous and effective manner, following through to ensure all issues are rectified to the guest’s satisfaction

•  Monitor quality of reservations, statistical information provided and inter-departmental communications to ensure the effectiveness of the department

•  Work closely with the Sales & Events teams and develop effective relationships with conference clients, PCO’s, hotel suppliers and other hotels

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: 

•  Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a reservations team

•  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

•  An enthusiastic approach, excellent attention to detail and superior customer service skills

•  Opera or strong PMS experience is required
