As a Growth and Initiatives Manager in Partnership Insurance, you’ll support the ASB partnership by managing new and current strategic initiatives to grow and develop this important distribution channel.

Reporting into the Head of ASB Partnership, you’ll manage resources from across the businesses and use agile project management methodologies, tools and techniques. You will implement projects and there’d be a close association with ASB Tribe squads and linking methodologies across our two entities. 

About the role:

Leadership

  • Lead the successful delivery of ASB/AIA partnership initiatives/projects which enable the full intended business benefit

  • Work closely with the Head of ASB Partnership and team to ensure on-going strategic alignment of delivery and business objectives

  • Work closely with the Project Sponsors and Owners to ensure on-going strategic alignment of delivery and business objectives

  • Ensure vendors deliver to their full contractual obligations

  • Build strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders

Delivery

  • Establish scope then build and execute solutions with key stakeholders and subject matter experts

  • Develops business cases

  • Responsible for project financial management

  • Reporting progress to plan, deliver and store all project artefacts as required by PMO, programme governance model and Finance to quality and in a timely manner

  • Complete work orders for vendors (when required)

Process

  • Adhere to, and support continuous improvement of project methodologies and processes, working closely with ASB counterpart, including the appropriate use Project Management Lifecycle and the Organisational Change framework

  • Contribute to the development and use of agile approaches for project delivery

  • Adhere to PMO processes, and use of templates and PM tools

  • Ensure a disciplined approach to project financial management including estimating, tracking and forecasting

Planning

  • Lead and advise on all planning activities related to the project outcome

  • Facilitate workshops to assist in the planning process

About you:

  • Creator of strong relationships

  • A good understanding of project management work in today’s dynamic business environment covering project dimensions (People, Process and Technology)

  • Ability to lead the development of robust business cases including the articulation of benefits

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise/manage large teams

  • Financial Services / Insurance sector knowledge is preferred with some experience leading digital and/or service-related projects

  • Organisational Change Management experience ​
