Guest Relations Manager

What you will be doing:

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
  • Provide managerial support for Reception, Royal Service, Fairmont Gold and Guest Services in the daily operational duties for these areas
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Ensure proper staffing ad scheduling of all Front Office colleagues in acordance to productivity guidelines
  • Communicate through pre-shift logs, emails and departmental meetings all pertinent information for the respective shift and areas of operation
  • Train supervisors and fulfill training role in the absence of the trainer
  • Assist guest regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned


Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
  • Minimum 1 year proven supervisory experience
  • Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and Guest requests
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Should posses or seek certification in basic First Aid
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
  • Experience with a hotel loyalty program an asset
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows envirnoment, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
  • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts, split shifts and holidays

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.  The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
