• ACT Reporting and Analysis for US-GAAP and US Tax
  • Analyze monthly reporting from countries with regard to consistency and plausibility
  • Check reporting with regard to US-GAAP presentation
  • Support robust process to fulfill US-Tax requirements in close collaboration with Group Accounting Europe and HHO tax specialist
  • Support to organize year end process for Asian countries in line with HHO requirements (physical count, audit timeline and follow-up review)

• GAAP Compliance
  • Ensure that key initiatives are in line with group- and US-GAAP requirements
  • Ensure that Accounting policies and guidelines are known, understood and used by the organization
  • Conduct trainings with key financial staff from countries on relevant US-GAAP/Accounting topics
  • Liaise with European Group Accounting team to continuously synchronize on relevant US-GAAP/Accounting topics

• Accounting Reviews
  • Support the Manager Group Accounting to develop a concept for a risk oriented review of Accounting entries in the countries of the regions. Objective is to ensure that assets and liabilities of a company have substance and that effects from operational processes are reflected properly in Accounting
  • Conduct on-site visits to do risk oriented spot checks on operational processes and their Accounting impact based on the developed concept and schedule

• Team Project support

• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Exposure to Sun Accounting, SAP and Hyperion system is preferable
• Microsoft office applications – Power Point, advanced Excel and Words
• Business understanding in Logistics industry is preferable.
• Ideally knowledge of US-GAAP (minimum knowledge in IFRS, and capable to learn the difference to US-GAAP)
• Ideally experience in treatment of one or more of key items which happen frequently in our business (Leasing, Hedging, Impairment, Revenue Recognition…)
