Job Overview
Mechatronics combines mechanical engineering, controls engineering, software design, electronic hardware, sensors and electrical harnesses. A challenging assignment when you are responsible for safely starting, running and stopping a truck from the batteries to the starter motor to the engine and transmission, to the instrumentation and safety systems such as radar based collision mitigation and wireless telematics with GPS, and finally safely stopping the vehicle with Antilock Braking System.
Primary focus of this role will be to integrate our digital user interface designs to realize various commercial vehicle features.
Responsibilities
- Primary interface between HMI Concept and Driver Information Systems team to be able to integrate digital user interface requirements into our various cluster hardware platforms
- Write technical specifications for user interface software implementation
- Lead cross function design reviews
- Provide strategic input to ensure Best-in-Class HMI is integrated for our various truck products
- Maintain and present on project deliverables
- Communicate technical details to various business partners around the globe
- Interface with product validation and product strategy
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college with 3+ years of related experience OR Masters degree with 1+ years required
- Degree focus in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related engineering field is preferred
- An attached resume is required
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills required
- Experience working with CAN controllers preferred
- Experience writing technical specifications preferred
- Working collaboratively with diverse groups preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in agile SW development processes preferred
- Experience being a product owner preferred
