About Our Team
Lenovo’s Data Center Group, North America Sales team is looking for an
experience seller in the High Performance Computing (HPC) space. According to
the Top500.org, Lenovo is the number-one supercomputer provider - including of
some of the most sophisticated supercomputers in the world. With a #1 rating
in reliability for x86 and a leader in performance benchmarks, it is easy to
sell Lenovo’s HPC solutions.
What You'll Do:
The is an individual contributor role that is focused on selling Lenovo’s
Award winning HPC solutions in the Canadian market. You’ll be tasked with
developing a long term sales pipeline and searching out new business
opportunities in addition to maintaining the current accounts.
Other Responsibilities Include:
• Initiate and manage the engagement of prospective clients
• Establish and maintain a professional, working and consultative
relationships with clients, including C- level executives for mid-to-large
accounts by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of
the client within their industry
• Identify, qualify, develop and close HPC industry sales against quota
• Develop a sales plan & strategy. Identify emerging industry markets
• Ensure the timely and successful post-sales delivery of HPC solutions
according to customer needs and objectives
• Clearly communicate the progress of monthly & quarterly initiatives to
internal and external stakeholders
• Travel to customer sites to present HPC solutions and services in a
professional manner and maintain account integrity
• Present HPC solutions in a professional manner to customers in-person, via
email, and by phone
• Set direction and communication for both project team and business partners
and actively participate in cross-functional groups to solve problems
• Ability to travel up to 50% depending on location
*This is a home-based position where candidates can be based anywhere in Canada as long as they're in close proximity to a major airport.
#### Position Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor of Science or higher in a technical field such as Engineering,
Business or Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
•5+ years of experience selling high tech, big-ticket products or solutions
with at least 5 years sales experience specifically in the HPC industry
Preferred Requirements:
• Knowledge of HPC architecture including GPU/CPU computing, HPC clusters and
software is preferred
• Strong familiarity with the HPC industry and HPC customers is preferred
• Expertise using consultative solution selling and business development
skills to align the client's business needs with the solution
• Good understanding of infrastructure, operations and cloud computing
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and
effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
• Passionate self-starter and self-learner with initiative and motivation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams,
customers, vendors and delivery partners
