Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Advisor Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to drive the delivery of day-to-day HR support in coordination with the Human Resources team.The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of HR services to client groups within an assigned organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team(s) of HR professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) and coach senior leaders on how to improve their individual leadership skills, focus on talent, differentiate performance, and embrace diversity
  • Partner with senior business leaders, their teams, functional line management, and HR leadership to define, recommend, develop, and execute Human Capital strategies to achieve business goals
  • Act as a strategic partner, subject matter expert, consultant, and liaison in determining the most effective and efficient way to execute against HR and business strategies
  • Lead significant programs and projects related to Human Capital goals for the line of business and translate business priorities and goals into actions for the broader HR or line organizations
  • Advise and influence management on aspects of people management and leadership with a focus on performance management, organizational development and effectiveness, and management effectiveness
  • Partner with business leaders to assess existing organizational structure and suggest solutions to best align people resources with appropriate business strategy as well as facilitate organization change, as required
  • Manage and resolve complex and highly variable issues and participate in policy and procedure development
  • Manage HR assistance for cyclical activities (e.g. annual compensation program, Talent) as well as coordinate HR and Centers of Excellence (COEs) resources to ensure efficient delivery of HR services
  • Preside over the Human Capital elements of workforce migrations and business acquisitions or divestitures
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, and relationship building skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
