Job Description

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting HR in Korea and supporting transition at a local and wider level;
  • The advising Manager on HR issues as directed by Regional HR Leadership;
  • Communicating the HR strategy at a local level to leaders and managers in the Seoul office;
  • Implementing new HR policies and procedures and ensuring existing policies are legally compliant;
  • Providing accurate and pragmatic HR advice across all aspects of employee engagement;
  • Overseeing the HR procedure around the employee lifecycle utilizing HRIS and related data sources;
  • Working with and assisting to the Talent Acquisition Function;
  • Creating and running HRIS reports to provide timely MI for stakeholders;
  • Ensuring any disciplinary grievance matters are managed correctly;
  • Ensuring contracts, pay and changes to conditions are managed correctly;
  • Assisting and leading HR projects as required;
  • Liaising with other internal serviced providers e.g. Talent Acquisition;
  • Co-ordinating Corporate Social Responsibility and Employee Engagement activities in the Seoul office;

Background Specification:

  • Proven HR Generalist experience gained at HR Manager level in a Multi-national corporation;
  • Employee Engagement experience in a dynamic environment;
  • A working understanding of Korean Employment Law;
  • Understanding of payroll process and employee statutory entitlement;
  • Able to work autonomously and confident in own decision making;
  • Experience of working within a fast paced, multi-site and global organization would be beneficial;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills so that the culture and ethos of collaboration and quality is sustained;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong English capability;
  • Confident delivering presentations in face to face or remote settings;
  • Previous experience in facilitating employee training;
  • Good organizational skills and an ability to multi task;
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel with the ability to manipulate data;
  • Previous experience of using HRIS systems;
  • Understanding of payroll processes
