WHAT WE OFFER

Major Tasks & responsibilities:

The job holder provides strong drive and coordination for all Human Resource activities in assigned scope of functions. He/she is familiar with the key Covestro HR processes and functions and ensures that these are taken into account at the local level as far as possible. With the supervision and guidance from Senior HR BP if necessary, he/she is responsible to:

  • Ensure the implementation and application of agreed upon Covestro HR directives, policies, processes, systems and programs in responsible org.
  • Support to execute effective local Talent Management (TM) initiatives to attract, identify, develop and retain the right employees and to maintain a powerful talent pipeline in the local legal entity or at the specific site.
  • Support to prepare talent review process.
  • Support to Manage labor law/litigation in close collaboration with the Labor Relation Manager ensuring adherence to applicable laws and Covestro rules.
  • Contributes for all employee relations related to their supporting teams and in doing so ensures full compliance with applicable employment legislations.
  • Support organizational changes (restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestments) providing appropriate solutions to the business from the HR perspective.
  • Collaborates with HR Expert recruiting for employer branding needs thus ensuring that Covestro will be an employer of choice in China
  • Support line managers in communicating HR issues properly to employees and employees’ representatives by means of standard instruments (e.g. on-site print; intranet channels).
  • Counsels and supports business managers in the resolution of specific individual local HR issues; e.g. disciplinary actions incl. face-to-face meetings with managers/employee/works’ council representatives, application of early retirement programs with execution of individual cases, lay-off employees incl. negotiation of severance payments.

Qualifications:

  • University degree, especially with the main focus on Human Resources
  • English language should be fluent both in the spoken and written form
  • Knowledge about the labor law and local legal employment.
  • Experience and proven track record in working across the core HR functions with specific experience in one expert HR field.
  • Ability to collaborate in the Covestro HR business model: Shared Service Center, Business Partner, Center of Expertise.
