Job Description

Areas of responsibility

  • Business and HR transformation
    • Support and implements HR strategy and vision for unit and functions.
    • Develops, coordinates, implements and ensures HR annual plan for unit/functions.
    • Develops and adapts communication and change management actions to support HR strategy
    • Provides support on reliable HR forecasts and controlling (KPI definition and setting, reporting analysis and benchmarks
    • Collaborate with COE to business transformation decision by providing HR impacts analysis (organizational, social and legal,…).
    • Proposes organization design and adaptation based on business evolutions/needs and follows up implementation.
    • Defines and drives action, communication plans and employee engagement plans during business transformation for each unit/function.
    • Support, and lead if required, organizational changes (restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestments) providing appropriate solutions to the business from the HR perspective
  • Talent supply
    • Defines overall sourcing strategy and practices in line with Nexans policies.
    • Collaborate with COE to prepare, facilitate and follow up SPID to enable the line management to develop the capabilities of the employees to the mid-to-long-term business needs.
    • Ensures job grading and pay package definition in line with Group policies
    • Ensures the deployment of HR processes to detect and nominate talents
  • High performance workforce
    • Coordinates objectives setting and cascading process
    • Ensures, coordinates and manages performance calibration process (review/adjustment of individual performance ratings and IDP)
    • Collaborate with HRSSC to communicates on Compensation & Benefits
  • Leadership and talent development
    • Adapts and drives processes regarding leadership/career management/knowledge management and learning and development
    • Consolidates the competencies/skills gap analysis for unit/function.
    • Develops and communicates a knowledge management vision/approach.
    • Supports business managers in the individual development interview process, ensures that all employees have an appropriate individual development plan (in line with the gap analysis and business requirements) and follows their realization
    • Ensures key position (N-2) identification for succession planning.
    • Contributes to successor assessment and development needs identification.
  • Work environment & employment relationship
    • Maintains Health & Safety focus and ensures process/tools deployment follow up
    • Promotes and follow up Code of Ethics deployment in each unit/function
    • Support employer branding activities thus ensuring that Nexans will be a top employer in cable industry.
    • Contribute for all employee relations related to their supporting teams and in doing ensures full compliance with applicable employment legislations.
    • Manage labor law/litigation in close collaboration with the legal department ensuring adherence to applicable laws and company
    • Support line managers in communicating HR issues properly to employees, employees’

      representatives and labor union by means of standard instruments

    • Counsel and support business managers in the resolution of specific individual local HR issues; e.g. disciplinary actions incl. face-to-face meetings with managers/employee/labor union, application of early retirement programs with execution of individual cases, lay-off employees incl. negotiation of severance payments
    • Contributes to employee engagement survey process (design, communication, results analysis, action plan, follow-up).

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above, especially with the main focus on Human Resources or equivalent
  • 5-8 years relevant HR working experience, having HR expertise in one HR function will be necessary.
  • English language should be fluent both in the spoken and written
  • Knowledge about the labor law and local legal employment conditions.
  • The knowledge of principles, practices, and functions of effective human resource management

  • Capability to understand and apply information with which to contribute to the organization's strategic plan.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build long-term partnership with both the line management and the employees.
