Job Description
  • Participates in setting and executing against the strategic direction of the business area
  • Responsible for managing projects in multi-disciplinary projects, covering a number of areas, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, people management, employee relations and change management
  • Liaises with senior management to understand business requirements and tailor specific solutions
  • Works across the HR function and business, seeks to ensure interventions are integrated in a consistent way that supports AZ’s organisational objectives
  • Acts as primary point of contact for HR policy issues
  • Coaches, supports, mentors and challenges managers in the application of HR policies and practices
  • Drives and supports the development and delivery of cultural change plans and interventions
  • Works with other HR Business Partners, HR Director and management to understand business priorities and tailor HR support to local requirements
  • Oversees the effective functioning of the local Payrolls, ensuring adherence to statutory reporting requirements
  • Ensures payroll records are produced accurately and in a timely manner
  • Minimizes loss from the business by enacting timely processing of leavers and payments

Required Education & Experience

  • Relevant degree in HR or HR Related qualifications
  • Experience in other African Markets
  • Payroll processing
  • Compensation & Benefits management
  • Salary bench-marking
  • 2-3 years HR business support in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Workday System process and management
