Summary
The HR Business Partner Lead is a strategic partner to the business to deliver a People Plan for nominated business area/s which drives improved commercial performance. Long-term strategy and Business and objectives typically guide this role. Must work crossfunctionally with local and global HR teams in centers of excellence and operations & solutions and will focus on all areas of Human Resources activity within a large section of the organization.
The position reports directly to Spain Human Resources Director and works directly with the Business Leaders within its remit.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides HR Business partnering to a equivalent area, contributing to the development of the functional area business strategy, through the creation and delivery of an aligned people plan.
- The people plan will be advised initially and success measured subsequently by the HRBP’s use and interpretation of relevant people insight (dashboards, people survey, external benchmarking, etc delivered by the COE).
- Responsible for managing multi-disciplinary projects, covering a number of areas, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, people management, Employee Relations and change management.
- Supports the HR Director with Strategic workforce planning activities.
- Coaches, supports, mentors and challenges business leaders in the application of HR policies and practices, provides advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk and financial exposure.
- In partnership with the Employee Relations Center of Excellence & HR Solutions, provides consultation on employment issues, utilizing knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, methods, and programs.
- Leads business change for their assigned area, based on strategic mentorship and direction by HR Director and / or Business Leaders.
- Has the lead relationship with senior leaders (eg SET-2/3) in their specified client area and is viewed as a peer by the Leadership team.
- Engages and contracts with colleagues eg Global HR Business Partners, COEs and senior business leaders to diagnose, design and deliver relevant HR interventions.
- Ensures HR solutions align to the global AZ HR Agenda by utilizing global AZ HR policies, procedures, tools and techniques in areas including organizational effectiveness, talent management, change management, employee engagement and relations, people transition and performance management.
- Delivers the HR solutions to agreed scope, timescale, cost and benefit across or within business areas.
- Develops and leads execution of plans, including activities, resources, costs, roles & responsibilities, benefits and outcomes.
- Delivery of HR solutions to required scope, on time and on budget.
- Establishes relationships with business and HR partners to capture business requirements and ensure their understanding and commitment to the outcomes.
- Ensures effective status reporting.
- Ensures risk management, benefits management and communication.
- Merger/Acquisition engagement. Supports HR Director to align new teams, identify skills, etc.
- The HRBP will work closely with business leaders and HR colleagues on the culture and climate of their business area, understanding from information and insight where any difficulties may arise and working proactively to ensure the population in their area of responsibility is engaged and motivated.
- Drive Manager/Employee adoption of the new HR Operating Model, coaching customers to use the right channels and HR teams to receive the support they need.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Educated to Degree level.
- At least 8 years experience in HR roles.
- High level of english; fluent C2.
- Experience of working in complex global multi-national organizations.
- Track record of proven business benefits / improvement delivered.
- Demonstrate experience of handling one or more complex HR projects through a complete project life-cycle.
- Technical HR knowledge / skills associated one or more of the following fields - Resourcing, Performance & Reward, ER, L&D, organizational change.
Desirable
- Post Graduate Qualification in HR related specialism.
- Experience in teams management.
- Experience in Biopharmaceutical industry.
