The Worldwide Commercial Business HR team offers a uniquely challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced global HR leader to lead the organization and people agenda for the Enterprise Commercial, Public Sector and Customer Success organizations for Microsoft. This role is accountable for developing and overseeing the execution of the full people and organizational effectiveness agenda, in partnership with client business leaders. This person understands the client’s business priorities and identifies key strategic organizational talent priorities that integrate with and support the achievement of the business goals. This is a people manager role which contributes as part of the WCB HR leadership team and leverages a global community of local HR resources who comprise a virtual workgroup focused on execution of the org and people plans

Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for this role, in partnership with the HR team who report to this role, are to:
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify business priorities and leverage our HR People Plan to build consistency across the company. Ensure alignment of the people plan, people programs, and tools with business strategic goals, and advise on the development and implementation of the holistic people plan for the organizations you support.
- Support and guide the business Leadership Teams on their business and culture transformation journey. Coach LT on bringing cultural attributes and leadership principles to life. Guide LT through ongoing business evolution and changing ways of working.
- Facilitate leadership effectiveness. Diagnose current state LT effectiveness with the business at the leadership level, and work with business leaders, HR leaders, and in-house consulting resources to design and implement solutions. Provide executive coaching to leaders and leadership teams.
- Identify, diagnose, and work with leaders and HR team to address key workforce opportunities such as retention, performance management and differentiation, employee readiness, overall manager capability, and other talent and organizational priorities.
- Lead improvements in and enhancements to employee satisfaction and engagement and organizational health and effectiveness of the client organizations. Instill advanced change management effectiveness capability throughout the organization to make the most of organizational assets and strategic decisions.
- Identify and predict current and future talent needs and influence the design and implementation of strategic talent management solutions building critical capabilities needed for the future. Lead the partnership with Diversity and Inclusion to develop diversity and inclusion plans for a business and drive vital programmatic efforts.
- Advance and drive diversity & inclusion efforts for the businesses by interpreting the organization’s D&I plan and creating implementation plans.
- Provide leadership in driving the HR agenda and building community across a virtual global team of HR Managers.
Qualifications
The skills and qualifications which are critical for success in this position are:
- High degree of business acumen and people acumen/insights, and ability to influence business leaders at an executive level.
- Success in people management and organizational leadership; strong values based leadership who models the MS leadership principles.
- Proven ability to develop trusted advisor relationships with senior executives, along with proven executive coaching capabilities.
- Demonstrated success in leading others through change in a complex, matrixed, and global business environment.
- Depth in organization development/effectiveness and strong systems thinker.
- Exceptional written and oral communication and group presentation skills.
- Strong analytical capability to identify systems strengths and weaknesses, and use data to illuminate insights to drive action.
- Experience partnering with wide network of clients and across HR to deliver effective business solutions.
- Qualifications include a minimum of 8 years of directly applicable HR experience.
- BS/BA degree required, MBA or advanced degree in HR preferred.
