HR Generalist

 

Location: Exton, PA

 

Position Summary:

Bentley is looking for an HR Generalist to join our skilled HR Operational Excellence team. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, Americas, the HR Generalist will support daily functions including onboarding, offboarding, and supporting the diverse needs of our US colleagues. Additionally, this colleague will have the opportunity to partner with the corporate centers of excellence to drive global functions such as talent management, compensation, talent acquisition, learning and development, and analytics. You will have the opportunity to work with talented colleagues and leaders throughout our entire organization.

Responsibilities cross all functions within HR, including but not limited to employment, compliance, talent acquisition, talent management, compensation, benefits administration, global mobility, talent systems and analytics, timekeeping, and terminations. Due to the variety and breadth of responsibilities, we are looking for a critical thinker who can act strategically and apply to the topic at hand to resolve issues. Your Day-to-Day:

Collaborate with and support the Talent Advancement team members to deliver operational excellence by enabling efficient and effective onboarding, off boarding, data management, data integrity and HR compliance.

  • Execute and deploy key processes and procedures, including but not limited to:
    • Distributing offer letters and employment contracts
    • Onboarding new colleagues
    • Executing the Form I-9 and E-Verify processes in the US for new hires, rehires and reverifications; as well as the retention and destruction of records for terminated colleagues and the audit and remediation of existing files
    • Closing out background/employment verification records
    • Assisting with foundational reporting
    • Preparing and tracking of termination paperwork
  • Maintain knowledge of legal federal and state requirements related to day-to-day management of colleagues in the US, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Build relationships with new colleagues via orientation and onboarding follow-up
  • Support HR Managers in providing coaching and advice to managers and colleagues in employment matters
  • Assist in the deployment of talent management programs and procedures supported by the talent management system
  • Assist in the development and communication of HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in corporate HR compliance functions
  • Assist in the completion and implementation of annual and quarterly HR projects
  • Support HR projects and other general ad hoc HR duties.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a hands-on HR Generalist role
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources Management in the US, preferably in a multi-national or global environment
  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to accomplish demanding timeline objectives, prioritize assignments, and be comfortable with change and continuous improvement
  • A high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively as well as handle sensitive and confidential situations with care
  • A desire to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
  • This role does not require travel
