Eaton is seeking a Human Resources Manager for its Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions business. The Human Resources Manager will be located in Cleveland, TN and is the primary lead for the HR function on the plant staff. Relocation will be provided for this role.

This position provides strategic and tactical leadership for the HR function for the manufacturing and engineering team in the Cleveland, TN operation. As an integral part of the site leadership team, this role will identify, develop and deploy business-driven HR strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain talent while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization capable of achieving the business objectives and action plans.

Essential Functions:
- Work with the local leadership team, division leadership, and functional leaders to drive change, aligning human resources programs and initiatives with strategic objectives and annual business goals
- Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management, employee development, succession planning and retention. Manage training and development processes and programs to facilitate employee development.
- Manage and develop employee recognition and reward programs, driving pay-for-performance culture aligned with business objectives. Foster a culture of manager ownership and accountability of the employee life cycle. Ensure talent strategy links and enables the business strategy (examples: product line marketing, engineering, new industry codes, standards, certifications, and policy changes as part of Industry 4.0.)
- As a strategic business partner, facilitate effective organizational design and own workforce planning to support business and market changes in areas such as software, hardware and service solutions. In addition, own the annual and monthly P&L management of headcount spend and count.
- Partner with the business leaders to define and implement changes and enhancements to optimize organizational effectiveness
- Drive positive employee relations and culture to provide an optimal work environment for all employees and ensure health and safety is embraced by all employees.
- Effectively deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (e.g. employee listening programs) to determine organizational issues and action plans.
- Provide leadership guidance, mentoring and change management expertise. Develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges by leading/coaching others through change.
- Assure that the business has in place processes that comply with country legal requirements in the areas of employment and employment administration
- Collaborate with finance and operations to establish effective manning strategies, linked to financial results for the facility
- Utilize coaching, consulting and facilitation skills to influence behavior and business decisions consistent with Eaton Values & Philosophy
- Develop and execute a competitive compensation strategy to recognize and reward performance
- Ensure that performance management practices are fully integrated and well deployed to raise performance within the facility
- Facilitate administration of Workers’ Compensation, STD/LTD and related programs
- Champion and lead inclusion and diversity efforts
- Ensure facility compliance with governmental regulations, such as: Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), etc.
- Analyze available data to proactively identify opportunities to continuously improve department and organization performance
- Champion community involvement and outreach efforts
- Manage a strong HR partnership with the operations Continuous Improvement Framework and Identify cycles of improvement to the overall Human Resources Management system and manning strategy for the organization.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 4 years of human resources experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Authorized to work in the US without Company Sponsorship now and in the future,
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in human resources/Industrial Relations or related field
- SPHR/PHR certification is a plus
Position Criteria:
- Exemplify Eaton’s leadership attributes.
- Knowledge of accepted HR theory, policies, practices, laws, and regulations affecting such areas as: wage and salary administration, employee relations, OSHA, EPA, Right-to-Know, FMLA. Administrative knowledge required includes benefits administration, budgeting, forecasting and wage structures. Leadership and supervisory knowledge and skills are required.
- Experience developing and executing a talent strategy including recruiting for top talent, both professional and production positions.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Superior listening, excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to understand human behavioral patterns; ability to organize and plan, self-confidence, and a high energy level.
- Well-developed PC skills and solid/effective knowledge of Taleo, Oracle, Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Knowledge of relevant local/state/federal/provincial employment laws
- Leadership experience in Organization Development, including Organizational Change Management and Organizational Assessment & Design
- Demonstrated strategic thinking capability and business acumen; experience partnering with senior leadership to create and drive strategic HR and key functional initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills and savvy to play a key leadership role in driving Eaton’s high-performance culture with strong employee involvement and engagement
- Excellent facilitation/coaching skills. Ability to coach functional and leadership teams and help leaders of people develop skills to manage global workforce.
