Job Description
Position Overview: This position acts as a business partner and provides support to the six Canadian Satellite plants in Canada (leadership and employees), as well as the Canadian Human Resources team. Primary function of the role is to develop, implement and coordinate the application of established human resource policies and systems, and ensure compliance with all elements of the Eaton Values and Philosophy. In this function you will: Strategically deliver HR services, programs and initiatives aligned with the division’s strategy and Eaton Philosophy. Lead talent acquisition and development activities and drive the talent review process to build organizational capability, supporting a high-performance work culture. Collaborate with finance and operations to establish effective talent management strategies, linked to financial results for the facility. Utilize coaching, consulting and facilitation skills to influence behaviour and business decisions consistent with Eaton Philosophy. Promote and support positive employee relations and an environment of open communication and trust. Administer compensation programs to assure competitive pay practices through systems that reward superior employee performance. Ensure that performance management strategies are fully integrated and well deployed to raise performance within the facility. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources Business Partner role performing in all aspects of HR. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no sponsorship. Preferred qualifications: CHRL Certification. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Position Criteria: Must be willing to work from our Mississauga office three days per week. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced/changing environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and provide effective coaching. Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to make recommendations using sound, independent judgment. Strong focus on positive employee relations. Demonstrated ability to build organizational capability. Effective time management and project management skills.
