Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The HR Manager of Acquisitions and Divestments will assist in the management of all aspects of human resources related to global acquisitions and divestitures. Responsibilities include advising the business development group and legal department on HR issues, strategic HR analysis and valuation, project management, planning and problem solving HR issues related to the acquisition and integration, assisting with the preparation of purchase and sale agreements, satisfying completion of conditions or other matters required to close a transaction, and assisting with related projects, such as Joint Ventures and Legal Entity Simplification. Typical tasks would include comprehensive due diligence analysis, reviewing and preparing data room materials, and facilitating the integration of acquired employees into Eaton HR systems and benefits. The successful candidate must be located in one of Eaton’s major office locations: Beachwood, OH, Moon Township, PA, Raleigh, NC, Galesburg, MI, Southfield, MI, and Irvine, CA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: : A. Advise the business development group, operations and legal department on HR issues related to transactions B. Conduct strategic HR analysis and valuation to formulate recommendations to senior leaders C. Project management of Due Diligence process – engaging with Eaton specialists / CoEs and acquisition target HR team to conduct comprehensive due diligence analysis to assess employment terms, labour issues, compliance, compensation, benefits, culture and other HR aspects of the Target D. Review and prepare data room materials E. Assist with preparation of purchase and sale agreements and other legal documents such as employment contracts and stay pay arrangements F. Satisfy completion of conditions or other matters required to close G. Facilitate the integration of acquired employees into Eaton systems, processes and benefits by partnering with other subject matter experts (HRMS, employee relations) H. Engage with operations leaders to structure and execute joint ventures, Legal Entity Simplification and divestments I. Continuous improvement of acquisition and integration process; manage processes and templates Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution 8 years’ experience in human resources function Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship Position Criteria Strong analytical skills including knowledge of and ability to utilize Eaton data Strong project management skills Ability to work in a global and cross-functional team environment Knowledge of Eaton HR policies and practices Executive influence, communication, and coaching skills Experience presenting, influencing and collaborating with business leaders Proved problem solving and dealing with ambiguity Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in business related field Experience in Eaton manufacturing or other facility at leadership level We make what matters work.
