The Role: Work with China GM to lead and drive all HR strategic and operational activities covering recruitment and selection, learning and development, talent management, employee engagement and relations, including overseeing General and Administration function. Serves as part of the PopSockets Shenzhen leadership team and helps craft and implement the strategic objectives of PopSockets.

Responsibilities:
  • HR business partnering
  • Working closely with the China GM, and functional departments to support and drive business goals and objectives through delivering visible HR business advice and solutions.
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Working closely with the internal hiring managers from various departments to implement effective and innovative recruitment strategies to hire quality candidates within the shortest lead time. Creation of job profiles for each unique department and creation of a talent pool for each segment of our business.
  • Learning and Development
  • Conducting training needs assessment and bridge gap in terms of skills/knowledge/attitudes to drive a positive individual/business impact. Delivering soft skills, competencies training and facilitation to all levels in the company, in partnership with Region HR initiatives. Support of English as the primary business language.
  • Talent Management
  • Managing and building a leadership pipeline for all levels. Accelerating development of leaders to keep up with the growth of the company through execution on the Region HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Keep PopSockets China Organizational Chart and Head Count Activities updated and Head Counts aligned with Finance and Leadership.
Performance Management

  • Taking leadership in driving a high performance culture that delivers excellent business results, by differentiating and rewarding performance at team and individual level.
  • Drive understanding and professional use of rating system and feedback from employees
Employee Engagement

  • Creating a fun, rewarding and motivating work environment build on PopSockets' Culture, brand Value.
  • Creation of a safe working environment with a clear fire safety program and evacuation plan.
  • Drive open, honest communication
  • Lead the set-up of the monthly lunch with China GM
  • Lead PopSockets Cares (Corporate Social Responsibility Program)
  • Promotes teamwork within the teams and office
  • Employee/Labor Relations - Handling of performance, disciplinary and grievance hearings by actively resolving issues promptly. Ensuring compliance with local China government and regulatory bodies.
General Administration

  • Develop plans for utilizing the space/facilities including coordination of internal and external resources to effectively meet the timing of office moves or office space planning.
  • Oversee facilities capital planning and improvements; work with other senior management and stakeholders to develop, coordinate and complete capital projects.
  • Oversee the administration related to travel management.
Requirements:
Education

  • University graduated, Degree in HR/Business Administration
Experience

  • With 8-10 years' experience in the full spectrum of HR business partnering role at Management position in HR field in MNC.
  • Retail and fashion industry and/or experience in a startup environment are highly preferred.
Knowledge

  • Possess strong passion for PopSockets' brand & also passion working with people to help them build successful and progressive careers that supports high business growth.
  • Supports the building of a strong PopSockets company culture as is a solution oriented group and a premium is put on providing well thought out feedback and open, honest communication. Participation is a requirement for being part of the team.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills with all levels. Possess ability and courage to manage tough conversations with performance and/or people issues. Focus on continuous improvement and delivering solutions to the problems facing our business today and for the future.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Excel, Words and Powerpoint
  • Confident communicator in both spoken and written English
