This role, you have the opportunity to
Be responsible for timely and accurate input of sensitive HR related data and the processing of employee payroll. Answering employee and manager inquiries and resolving payroll issues in an expeditious and professional manner are also key aspects of this role. This position entails a high responsibility in terms of financial results, compliance and data privacy.
You are responsible for
Validating and approving personnel change actions in the HRIS system. (100% of Workday Inbox items completed within 3 business days)
Creating and editing supervisory organizations in the HRIS system.
Performing accurate and timely entry of job, salary and personal data that is not interfaced from the HRIS system to the payroll system.
Analyzing and resolving data discrepancies between the HRIS and payroll database systems.
Analyzing pre- and post-payroll audit reports to identify and correct payroll errors.
When applicable, calculating and processing off-cycle checks as requested by representatives of the business units.
Complying with all Internal Control Standard (ICS) requirements in terms of supporting documentation, audits and accuracy.
Functioning as Subject Matter Expert with regard to all aspects of HRIS and payroll system functionality, as well as, policies and procedures.
Providing Call Management System (CMS) support to handle employee inquiries regarding personnel records, time input, and a variety of non-health and welfare pay deductions (union dues, etc.). (CMS average turnaround 1.5 business days)
Supporting HR, Benefits, Compensation, Onboarding, Tax and Finance colleagues with all phone, mail and e-mail requests.
Primarily responsible for additional Administration and Payroll related functions such as garnishments, compliance and reporting.
Actively participate in departmental projects including acquisitions.
Liaise with Fleet Management team for proper reporting of personal usage of company vehicles.
Performing other duties as assigned in a timely and satisfactory manner.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 3 years payroll experience or HRIS experience.
Experience with Workday, ADP GlobalView, Kronos or SAP HRIS a plus.
Ability to research, understand and apply intermediate federal, state and local regulations relating to payroll, labor and employment tax laws.
Detailed knowledge of office applications (MS Excel; MS Word; MS PowerPoint; MS Outlook).
Ability to adapt to frequent changes that can occur with vendor relationships, system updates, policies, etc.
Ability to multi-task and complete objectives within strict time constraints.
Proactive in resolving issues with employees, businesses and other departments.
Ability and willingness to work flexible work hours to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills and attentiveness to detail.
Integrity and trustworthiness specific to confidentiality and privacy of employee information.
Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
