Job Description

The Ops Sup Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to provide operations support services in coordination with the Operations - Core team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of operations support services in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Operations Support department through delegation of tasks and responsibilities for multiple teams
  • Conduct performance evaluations, compensations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations of team members as well as determining staffing needs
  • Monitor team’s end results, ensuring quality and efficiency and contributes to resource planning, budget management and formulation of procedures
  • Contribute to development of new techniques, models, and plans within area of expertise
  • Facilitate alignment of the Operations Support infrastructure through focused technologies and processes
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations as they pertain to retail accounts serviced through the evaluation and implementation of appropriate control and testing measures
  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of information and in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures in complicated and unique situations
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience managing a team
  • Experience in analyzing business requirements, developing test plans, and discrepancy resolution
  • Required Licensing/Registration: Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, and Series 63
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Proven organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

The position will ensure that all manual inputs received are validated and processed efficiently and on a timely basis.
  • The position holder is additionally responsible for the ongoing management of the EIB Processing Utility team and processing operations in the Tampa,Florida CSC.
Process Management, Validation and Control
  • Provide leadership in the operational processes and control environment for the EIB
Processing Utility activity set to ensure that all manual inputs received are validated and processed efficiently and on a timely basis.
  • Collaborate with submitting business requestors to educate them on the EIB process with the goal of continually improving data accuracy and the ability to
self-service. Facilitate business requestor training sessions as required.
  • Manage an efficient change management governance process to ensure that global standard operational processes and controls are followed
  • Ensure that all transaction processing consistently meets the committed service standards (completeness, timeliness, accuracy).
  • Ensure all established operational controls and reasonability checks are performed on a timely basis, and that the results of the testing are
evidenced in accordance with established standards
  • In managing the global governance model for EIB Processing Utility operations:
  • Ensure that all operational breakages (service and/or financial) are documented and subject to source/cause analysis, and that the necessary
remediation actions are completed and tested on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that all EIB Processing Utility activities are demonstrably “audit ready” at all times, and assume management responsibility for the successful
outcome of all internal and external audits insofar as they relate to the EIB Processing Utility activity set
Management and Supervision
  • Manage a team of Processors and Analysts in the East and collaborate with West leadership (Manila) for follow the sun strategies in completing work timely with strong handoffs.
  • Identify opportunities and develop and execute action plans to drive sustainable improvements in control processes, delivery practices and systems.
  • Drive talent development for the EIB Processing Utility team, including the development of actionable succession plans for all critical positions.
  • Actively support employee engagement activities to promote timely two-way communication and a strong sense of ownership and common purpose across
the team.
  • Represent the EIB Processing Utility function as required in meetings and other interactions with key stakeholders.
