Job Description
Shanghai International High School is recruiting Bilingual (Chinese, English barrier-free communication) art teachers.
Required subjects:
1. Bilingual Art and Design (Monash Diploma Overseas Art and Design Program)
Onboarding date: ASAP in 2026
Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepare the teaching content in accordance with the course plan, taking into account the actual situations of the students, and implement individualized teaching methods. Organize classroom teaching meticulously, strictly follow teaching norms, and strive to enhance teaching effectiveness.
2. Be responsible for teaching art design-related courses for students in the Chinese region, including but not limited to painting, art design theory, 2D/3D modeling, visual art, design general principles, interdisciplinary design, interdisciplinary art research, etc. Regularly evaluate teaching effectiveness, collect feedback, and continuously improve teaching methods and means.
3. Participate in course design and development to ensure that the teaching content keeps up with industry trends and complies with the teaching standards and academic requirements of overseas universities such as Monash University.
4. Guide students in conducting case analysis, art design creation, project research, and thesis writing, cultivating students' critical thinking skills and the ability to solve practical problems.
Qualifications for the position:
1. Possess a master's or doctoral degree in fields related to art design or education, and those with overseas study experience will be given priority.
2. Have strong proficiency in teaching in English, be able to give lessons in English fluently and communicate effectively in Chinese.
3. At least 2 years of teaching experience in art design-related fields in higher education institutions is required!! Those who are familiar with the education systems of Australia and the UK will be given priority.
4. Have a deep understanding of art design theories, be familiar with current market dynamics and industry trends, and have industry work experience will be given priority.
5. Have a good teamwork spirit, be willing to accept new challenges, and be able to independently carry out teaching and educational work.
6. Love the education field, be patient and responsible towards students, and be willing to invest time and energy in guiding students' development.
