Job Description
International Bilingual school in Tianjin needs 2 High school EAL teachers for Jan.
Salary package: Competitive salary in Tianjin.
Fully paid holidays: X-mas holiday (2-3 weeks), Winter holiday (about 2 weeks), Spring break (2 weeks), Summer holiday (about 6 weeks).
Work from Mon to Fri,
No more than 40 hours/week,
2 ecas and duties per week,
No more than 25 classes/week,
Paid insurance,
Provide work visa,
Flight allowance,
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Recognised teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, state or national teaching license, TEFL/TESOL/DELTA).
• Demonstrated experience in preparing students for IELTS and TOEFL assessments.
• Experience teaching or supporting IGCSE and/or International A Level English courses strongly preferred.
• Ability to teach English as a First Language is a significant advantage.
• Prior experience in international or bilingual school environments is desirable.
• Strong intercultural communication skills and a commitment to working in a multicultural community.
• Dedication to student-centered learning and ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging and effective EAL lessons for students at varying proficiency levels.
• Provide targeted instruction for IELTS and TOEFL exam preparation, including test-taking strategiesand personalised feedback.
• Support students studying IGCSE and International A Level English—both First Language and Second Language pathways—through tailored language instruction, academic writing development, and exam readiness.• Integrate a variety of teaching approaches and resources to support language acquisition in a bilingual environment.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to enhance language development across the curriculum.
• Assess student progress using a range of formative and summative measures and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to curriculum development, schemes of work, and language-support materials.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to support academic and pastoral development.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, and whole-school initiatives.
