【About The School:】
Located on a beautiful, tenacre lakeside campus near the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao in Shanghai's western Qingpu district, the school was founded in 2018 by a group of life long international educators. The school is independently accredited by Cognia and offers a comprehensive American high school curriculum in
conjunction with Griggs International Academy, Current enrollment is 250 in grades 8-12 with anticipated growth of 45-60 students for Fall 2026.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate High School High School Literature to join a dynamic, student-centered school in Shanghai’s Qingpu District. The ideal candidate is committed to inquiry-based learning, long-term student development, and active engagement in school life.

【Qualities, Qualifications, and Requirements:】
- At least two years’ experience as an educator committed to discussion-, inquiry- and project-based learning in a student-focused environment; experience with teaching and developing dynamic curriculum for US Literature and History. Experience with AP courses in these areas is preferred, as is an openness to cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Intercultural awareness and the flexibility to work in a dynamic, cross-cultural community; patience and persistence; a collaborative, team-oriented work ethic; and, a good-humored self-awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree (Master's or higher preferred) in history, education or a related social-scientific field; original credentials must be available and notarized with apostille and certification from the appropriate Chinese consulate.
- Native/fluent English speaker from the US, UK, NZ, Canada, Ireland, Australia, or South Africa per government requirements.
- Criminal background check and professional references as required for work in China, as well as the contact information for a current and most recent supervisor.
- Twenty classroom hours a week (aprx. four periods a day with a workday from 8am – 4pm) in History and Social Studies instruction, along with associated planning, student assistance, and evaluation; and the support of and contribution to the school’s intellectual community.
- Help organize and advise an extracurricular club or activity with an enthusiastic desire for engagement with student life in a residential environment.
- Occasional (no more than 3 times per term) assistance on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with recruitment and admission activities.
- Availability for new faculty orientation and planning by Feb 2026; the school year will conclude late June 2026.

【Compensation & Benefits:】
- Annual salary (before tax): RMB 370,000 – 425,000
→ Equivalent to RMB 30,833 – 35,417/month (pre-tax)
