Key responsibilities include:

1. Strategy and policy: Develop policies and objectives for the assigned unit and contribute to the development of the strategy on a level higher.(20%)

2. Year plan/budget: Ensure development, manage and ensure realization year plan/budget for the assigned unit, acquire approval, ensure and manage execution and deliver results.(20%)

3. Organization development: Evaluate organizational design, (work) processes and systems and initiate and implement changes and improvements.(5%)

4. People management and development: Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop employees, ensure staffing and stimulate talent (management)(15%)

5. Knowledge and information management: Keep up with internal and external developments and ensure development, transfer and retention of knowledge and information(10%)

6. Management information: Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses (15%)

7. Relations management: Build and maintain a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners and represent the organization.(15%)

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensure the site adheres to all local legislation and meets AN standards
• Lead the systematic delivery within the site of company HSE improvement programs, including SAQ, behavior based safety and process safety management programs
• Drive specific site-based improvement programs,
• Be the conscience of the site management for all aspects of HSE&S
• Leverage the AN expert network in support of the above

Requirements:

• Bachelor of chemical engineering or chemicals, related in HSE or other related discipline

• 5 years or above relevant working experience in the chemicals industry with 2 years proven management experience in a similar (smaller scale) function.

• Language skills: good English speaking & writing

• Special Requirements/Skills: Basic computer knowledge and skill

• Legal Requirements: Certificated Safety Engineer
