Custom Fabric Engineering (CFE) group is part of Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is responsible for architecture and design of Intel's FPGA products. These products have wide variety uses covering industrial automation, space exploration, data centers, automotive, and internet routers to name a few. This person would be part of a highly successful and visible role of building the key hardware components of the FPGA. This person will be a hands on leader of the IC design and implementation team in the US.This person should be willing to tackle the many challenges of nanometer process technology using industry standard and FPGA specific tools and flows. This person should be comfortable with a versatile environment where we cover technical skills like SRAM memory design, logic design, circuit design, signoff simulation, and oversee physical design activities. The primary goal is to develop world class products which push the limit of power, performance, and cost.As a manager, set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. Expecting strong circuit fundamentals and be capable to mentor junior contributors, hire and retain critical talent, develop strong engineering work force, execute to planned schedules, communicate with all engineering teams from architecture, software, manufacturing, verification, validation, and physical design.
Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
18+ years of experience.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Transistor level circuit design including SRAM, standard cells, advanced clocking.
Experience with programming languages like Python, Perl, CSH, TCL, Makefiles.
Strong understanding of hardware design, advanced process technology, logic design.
Experience with Verilog, design signoff tools and flows, Virtuoso, ICC/Innovus.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
