Position Description: Lenovo is seeking an leader engineer for server Hardware functional validation, focus on server hardware design validation and analysis of new features and releases. This leader will focus on HW test team build up and team member skill enhancement. He/She need lead hardware test team to meet project delivery requirment, finish HW test with high qualify on schedule and try to identify all HW design issue in NPI phase to guaranteed product quality. The ideal candidate should create, define and develop system hardware validation environment and test cases. Uses and applies emulation and platform-level tools and techniques to ensure server production HW design meet specification. Responsible for the development of methodologies, manage validation plans execution, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and NPI teams in improving system HW design validation. The Server HW Validation leader will be responsible for driving the System Validation of x86 platforms, which includes validation execution within in- house lab, results analysis, bug detection and root cause analysis, must be able to develop relationships and work cross-functionally with other team members, including HW, FW and ME teams. Self-motivation and problem solving are valued as you will need to understand silicon, board and FW interactions. The responsibilities of this position include working closely with the Server developers to gain a deep understanding of the memory, PCIe and other IO subsystem features and define test case which ensure these subsystem meets the product requirements with high relibilty.
