Handy Person

Sofitel Brisbane Central is looking for a full-time Handy Person to join our dedicated yet enthusiastic Engineering department.

Reporting directly to the Chief of Engineering, our Handy Persons maintain the property, equipment, fixtures and fittings!

In this Full-Time role, you will learn and work alongside a dedicated team of hotel engineers who perform a wide range of activities. As a Handy Person your role will require you to be flexible to work throughout all areas of the hotel. This may include general guest areas, guest rooms, plant rooms and staff areas.

What you will be doing:

• Undertaking general repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Assisting with the implementation of preventative maintenance.
• Servicing of plant rooms and general equipment as directed.
• Assist with water treatment chemical monitoring and dosage.
• Performing a range of jobs in both front of house and guest areas.  

Your experience and skills include:

• Technical Background with maintenance experience desired
• Exceptional organisational skills as well as the ability to multi task
• The ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Highly responsible and reliable
