Job Description

As a Hardware Development Lab Technician, you will work within Intel's Test Strategy and Technology Development Group (TSTD) whose core charter is the design and development of cutting edge modular testers which have become Intel's primary tester of choice and are utilized by Intel worldwide.

Candidate would be responsible for technical functions in support of design engineering activities such as power on plan execution, electrical troubleshooting, debug and fault isolation, solder station rework, bug tracking, data collection, validation plan execution and debug, and general assembly, modification, and rework of complex electromechanical systems.

Additional duties to include lab inventory management, test equipment calibration tracking, and supporting general lab activities.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of general technician experience in an electrical engineering field, Labs operation and inventory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the following:
    -MS computer skills (OneNote, Excel, Word, Outlook).
    -PCB soldering/rework, Troubleshooting and debug.
    -Schematic and PCB layout Cadence tool.
    -Assemble/rework standard computer systems from raw components.
    -Windows OS, system BIOS configuration, and firmware programming.
    -Lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, digital multimeters, logic Analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, etc).
    -Knowledge of Python to edit and execute python scripts needed to validate hardware.
    -Validate instruments/systems and features
    .
