Job Description
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, design, create, test and deploy new components and assemblies for RFID production sites globally
Integrate new hardware solutions with existing systems
System testing and quality assurance
Support, maintain and document system functionality
Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
Participate to Project Planning in collaboration with Project Management
Work with contractors, internal and external stakeholders to develop and deploy solutions.
Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
Present information and effectively communicate with divisions and cross-functionally. Orally present findings to team and management.
Drive growth, cost reduction, yield and product quality improvements, and capacity increases.
Maintain awareness of advances in technology and competitive intellectual property (patents).
Write technical reports and document research. Summarize critical results and observations. Verify reliability of data.
Propose, design, deploy and support multiple projects.
Lead and conduct problem solving efforts and propose resolutions.
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Someone with a passion for Hardware design and 3+ years of hardware development experience
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering or related field
Strong experience with modern CAD tools
Understanding of sensors and microcontrollers
Operations and process development experience is a plus
Experience with RFID and/or other wireless technologies is a big plus
Experience in working with external suppliers
Highly organized and strong attention to detail
Knowledgeable on process documentation and improvement
Fluent in verbal and written English
Ability to work both individually and in a team
International and domestic travel required 25-50%
