Self-motivated, team oriented engineer to be part of design service center to develop the hardware platform, especially related to communication platform.

Responsibilities include participating in all areas of platform development including design and architecture of modules, timing analysis, system and module testing. Developing tests for prototype bring up and verification, working with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, diagnostics, signal integrity and more) to ensure technically robust product development. Explore and evaluate new tools and methodologies. 

Skills Required

• Well communicated skill on English, both in oral and written.
• Following R&D HW design process to do hardware design.  Ability to communicate clearly with team members and teamwork skills.
• Deriving the functional specification and architecture for a subsystem or circuit pack based on system requirement.
• Taking the role of hardware design of communication product like Switch, Router or based on different solutions or platforms.
• Excellent understanding of digital hardware design, power design, high speed interfaces, timing analysis and signal integrity issues.
• Understanding of analog electronic concepts and EMC. Can supervision of layout design.
• Working knowledge of Concept schematics capture, familiarity with Allegro.
• Experience with high volume run products, test and verification of board designed.
• Documenting all technical design files.

Qualification

• Requires BSEE or equivalent training with 3-5+ yrs related exp.
• Expertise in a schematic capture system such as Allegro Design Entry.
• Experience in the design and bring-up of complex communication boards with a combination of high component density, high speeds, and tight timing constraints.
• Experience with embedded processors, such as Freescale PowerQuic.
• System architecture design experience including partitioning, hardware/software/FPGA tradeoffs, and quantitative performance prediction
• Technical leadership designing, testing and project managing the development of products.
• Have outstanding communication, presentation and written skills as well as an ability to deal effectively with both technologists and business representatives and to sell and promote ideas across the organization.
• With 3+ years relevant experience, preferable in communication product design and applications, such as router or Ethernet Switching, carrier Ethernet equipment design is plus.
• Experience in communication interface, such as XAUL/GMII/SGMII /XFI/PCI/PCI-E/Utopia buses required
